How to not have a look at the nice skyline of the city?

How to not have a look at the nice skyline of the city?

Kscope16 ended one week ago but the memories and mental pictures of that great event are still present in my mind.

It was again, as expected, a wonderful event not only from a content point of view (tons of great sessions and a quite complex task to build your own agenda) but mainly on the networking side. Meeting and speaking “live” with people you generally just send emails or exchange tweets & co.

For me it wasn’t only attending sessions but I also had some work to do: I presented one session and also was an “ambassador”, collecting evaluations at sessions I attended and supporting the presenter with timing etc.
Actually the first session I was doing the ambassador for was also a live streaming, so I was running around the room with a mic for people asking questions. Few attendees thought I was the “mic guy” and were a bit shocked when they saw the “mic guy” presenting a session. It was really funny.

My presentation was about security, you can find the abstract on the kscope16.com or my previous post, not the easiest topic ever as in OBIEE you find it in multiple place.

If you are an ODTUG member you will have soon access to the live recording of the session, if you can’t wait or aren’t a member (how come? It’s so cheap and you get access to tons of content as well as a nice discount for Kscope) you can also find it on SlideShare.

Now it’s time to start thinking the new abstracts to send for Kscope17 and also to find the best flights to get in San Antonio in June 2017.
